As we said in day 10’s blog, there might not be much to report but we never know when an adventure will pop up.  And something did pop up today.  We had the opportunity to visit the bridge, which is command central for the ship.

The ship’s captain, who has 47 years of experience, was kind enough to let groups of passengers in to see what they see, check out their equipment, and ask questions about the boat.  The captain was a very personable guy and we appreciated him taking time to show us around, also appreciating the first officer as he used to operating with only a few people on the bridge as opposed to the 25 people who were there!

Here are some views of the bridge:

Soooo….the night was not quiet, boring, and low key as we thought it might be.  We had live music!  Several behind-the-scenes crew members, such as housekeeping, and some of the wait staff have a band and last night was their night to shine.

And boy did they shine!  We’re fairly certain that nearly half of the ship was up and dancing for most of the program (and no, the Collins’ did not dance).  They played for over an hour, and we think they enjoyed the experience just as much as we did!

After the show we played cards, staying up later than planned, and decided it was perfectly fine as we have nowhere to be in the morning.  Except breakfast…. We don’t want to miss breakfast!
